Congregational Vision

The mission of Campbell United Methodist Church is to help people become disciples of Jesus Christ. We do that guided by the vision of the "Patterns of Discipleship" that shape our lives..

The three stairways of discipleship that we walk together, "Live," "Grow," and "Share," are comprised of six different ministry components: Worship (LIVE), Faith Formation and Fellowship (GROW), Generosity, Hospitality, and Mission/Service (SHARE). By Walking all three stairways together, the Patterns of Discipleship become more and more deeply imprinted upon us, as we grow closer and closer to God.

A Vision for a Community of Christian Encouragement

Theologically, the ministries of Campbell United Methodist Church emphasize God’s grace, centering on discipleship as our common response to the eternal life given by God through Jesus Christ, and realized in the living presence of the Holy Spirit.

The central, foundational source for everything is the Bible, and the study of scripture is enhanced by our communal tradition, lived experience, and God’s gift of reason.

Campbell United Methodist Church is a connectional church, which means that we participate in cooperative ministries with other Methodists around the world, believing that we can do more together than we could ever do alone.

There is an open communion table at Campbell, and anyone and everyone is invited, welcomed, and encouraged to receive the sacrament, for the table belongs to Christ.

Campbell strives for balance between mind and heart, so that knowledge and piety might walk hand-in-hand.

Campbell strives for balance between social and personal, so that justice and righteousness might be seamlessly woven in the lives of God’s children.

We hope that you discover a congregation in which you can encounter the presence of God, a spiritual home in which your own faith can flourish. And who knows, Campbell United Methodist Church might just be what you are looking for! Come share the journey of discipleship at Campbell.
