Youth Director @ Campbell UMC
I am a 27 year old California native. I am married to an amazing woman of God named Sara and have 2 great children named Eden & Crosby. My passion is to see people grow in strength, influence, and ability. I believe that salvation is the beginning of a lifelong journey. I believe that Christ calls us to be active in our faith and being a Christian is a life of servitude to the church and to communities in need. I earnestly believe that the youth are capable of incredible feats of strength, influence, and impact. They are the future of the church and they must be equipped to cultivate their own faith have strategies to defend themselves against the destruction brought by sin and stagnation.
Journey to Ministry
I was homeless and 20 when I came to know the Lord and submit to His plan for my life. With the support of the local church and community I joined a Discipleship Training School in Los Angeles at Youth With A Mission LA(YWAM). For 6 months I learned about Jesus and ways to impact communities. I served a village in Kenya for 3 of those months. I then completed a 9 month Biblical Studies program. From 8am to 8pm, 6 days a week, I was studying God's word. I wrote 66 research papers, commentary on every chapter, and read through the Bible around 6 times in those 9 months. I then volunteered with a non-profit and helped them build a technical college in a high school in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. We taught world-view, software and website programming, and saw many students find hope to leave the slum. I met my wife when I lived there and moved to my next mission field, Springfield, Missouri. I spent 4 years working with youth in a in-patient level 4 lock-down facility. I learned that all the psychology and rehab in the world can not replace the work the Jesus will do in a persons heart once they are saved. So I turned back to the church in order to bring all of my experience, training, and skills to the youth at Campbell UMC
